The ESIS Survey : A Deep & Wide Optical Extragalactic Survey of the ELAIS-S1 Field

The ESO-Spitzer Imaging Extragalactic Survey (ESIS) was an Optical Imaging Survey of 5.5 square degrees of the ELAIS-S1 field using the WFI camera for BVR imaging and the VIMOS camera for Iz imaging (PI: Alberto Franceschini, ESO Large Program ID 168.A-0322). The original data reduction of the ESIS WFI BVR data by Berta et al. 2006 has been completed and improved by Vaccari et al. 2016 in the context of the VOICE survey, which has also obtained additional u-band imaging of the field with ESO/INAF's VST.
